The irish heritage tour of ireland

The Irish Heritiage Trail Tour enables visitors to visit some of the key counties of Ireland. These counties include Clare, Limerick, Kerry, Cork, Waterford, Kilkenny and Dublin.

Clare

Clare is one of Irelands most scenic counties and has its own airport which is located in Shannon. Attractions in Clare include the majestic Cliffs of Moher which are unmissable on a visit to Ireland, the Karst landscape of the Burren which is unique and 15th century Bunratty Castle and Folk Park which recreates 19th century life.

Limerick

Limerick which is built around the River Shannon is one of Irelands largest cities and was founded by the Vikings in around 912. Attractions in Limerick include Adare which is said to be Irelands prettiest village, King Johns Castle and Foynes which is the home of the Irish Coffee & the Flying Boat Museum. Limerick also has a large daily market which is well worth visiting.

Kerry

Kerry which is know as the Kingdom is one of Ireland's most beautiful and popular tourist destinations. The beautiful town of Killarney is not to be missed as well as the scenic Ring of Kerry, Torc Waterfall and Ross Castle to name but a few. Cork

Cork is known as the rebel county and has many of attractions such as Cobh which was the last stop of the Titanic, Kinsale with its harbour,the English Market,Spike Island which has a long history and Blarney Castle which is home to the Blaney Stone.

Waterford

Waterford which was founded by the Vikings has many historic buildings such as Reginalds Tower which is the oldest civic building in Ireland. Waterford Crystal visitor center is now open and is worth a visit.

Kilkenny

Kilkenny is known as the Marble City is one of Irelands most popular tourist destinations. Kilkenny is a medieval city and still has many of the narrow medieval streets and buildings. Kilkenny Castle is a very popular attraction as is St Canices Cathedral and Round Tower, The Tholsel and the Black Abbey

Dublin

Dublin is Irelands capital city and has many attractions. It is home to the Guinness Storehouse, The Temple Bar area which is full of pubs and restaurants and also many historic buildings such as Dublin Castle and Kilmainham Jail to name but a few. Dublin also houses the National Museum of Ireland which has a huge amount of interesting items.
