Parklands Challenge Golf Tour of ireland

Some of the finest parkland golf courses in the world are located in Ireland and some of Ireland's finest parkland golf courses are located around the West of Ireland.
Parkland golf courses are inland courses, often set amongst native oak trees, many of which are hundreds of years old. The natural hilly terrain of Ireland makes for the perfect material for any golf course designer.

Situated just a few miles from Shannon Airport, this heavily wooded golf course is a joy to behold. Built around the famous Dromoland Castle it boasts beautiful little lakes and wooded tree-lined fairways that are a tremendous test. The natural terrain of the landscape at Dromoland Golf Club poses a considerable challenge to even the lowest handicap, with a profusion of yawning water hazards and concealed bunkers. Dromoland Castle is rapidly earning an enviable reputation both for quality of golf at Dromoland Golf Club and for the splendidly refurbished Castle Hotel. Our third stop on our golfing expedition is to the world famous Killarney. Famous for its lakes and beautiful mountains and national parks, Killarney also has three renowned golf courses, of which Killeen is the most famous. Home to the Irish Open in 2010 and again this year, it attracts many famous visitors to this beautiful setting. Situated on the lakes of Killarney and Lough Leane, both the Killeen Course and Mahony’s Point are a joy to behold. With young deer running about the vast estate, and the magnificent trees, adorned by the lakes, this is a wonderful setting for a game of golf.
