Cobh was the last stop off point for the Titanic before it set off across the Atlantic Ocean. Cobh was know as Queenstown at this time. Here you can visit the Titanic Heritage Center. 2012 will be the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic. Cobh was alo the departure point for many Irish who emigrated to America in desperate times such as the famine. |
