5 Star Golf Tour of Ireland

This is a golf tour of Ireland which takes the golfer on a tour of six of the finest golf courses in Ireland combined with some of the finest hotels.

Adare Golf Club

Adare Golf Club features the last major golf course designed by the legendary Robert Trent Jones, Senior - his majestic design has gained international acclaim as one of his finest creations.
An 18-hole Championship Course, it was opened in 1995. The exquisite parkland of the Manor demesne has been preserved with the challenging course set amid magnificent mature trees and incorporating many aquatic features including a 14 acre lake anchoring the front nine holes and The River Maigue which meanders through the entire golf course.

Situated only 25 minutes drive from Shannon Airport Adare Golf Club is ideally located. The course measures 7,453 yards and uses 230 acres of lush Irish countryside.

Dromoland Castle Golf

The Dromoland Castle Golf and Country Club golf course on the Dromoland Estate is
a captivating test of golf surrounded by the wonders of the Irish Countryside. It has been
described as an experience never to be forgotten, presenting the pure challenge of golf to
both professional and amateur alike.
The 18 enchanting holes sweep delightfully through 410 acres of shady woodland, open
rolling pasture, feral lakes, streams and the ever present magnificence of the 16th Century
baronial Castle presiding over the estate. Yet for all the regal splendor and unassuming
nature, it is a course for the 21st Century.

Mount Juliet Golf Course opened in 1991 with a match featuring golfing legends Christy O'Connor Snr and Jack Nicklaus. The beautiful and challenging Mount Juliet golf course has established itself as a premier golfing venue for top professionals as well as leisure golfers worldwide. It was the first Jack Nicklaus designed golf course in Ireland. The Golden Bear was meticulous and pain-staking in his design and in overseeing the construction of his great creation. In preparation for the WGC American Express Golf Championship that was held here in September 2002 and again in 2004, the Jack Nicklaus design team instigated some extensions and new features to the course, showcasing Mount Juliet's continued pursuit of golfing excellence. 

Mount Juliet Golf Club members can avail of the best in golfing on our world famous golf course. Set in a world of its own, on lush parkland in the south east of Ireland, the course is both captivating and memorable. The acclamation from Tiger Woods that Mount Juliet presented "perfect fairways... and the best greens we have putted on all year" was a rich tribute to the stature of Ireland's leading championship parkland golf course. 

The K Club

Designed by Arnold Palmer, The Palmer Ryder Cup Course and The Palmer Smurfit Course are considered two of Europe's finest Championship Courses.

The Druids Glen Course, known to many as the “August of Europe” is famous for hosting the Irish Open on four occasions – along with the prestigious Seve Trophy.

Once host to the Irish PGA Championship, Druids Heath known as “nature’s gift to golf” weaves its way around quarries, trees, lakes and pot bunkers. Golfers can absorb the rare heathland course, the breathtaking setting, with views over the Irish Sea, on what was once the doorstep of the ancient Druids of Ireland.

Powerscourt

Powerscourt Golf Club is located in the grounds of the 1,000 acre Powercourt Estate in county Wicklow. Powerscourt House and Gardens are an Irish national heritage site. Powerscourt estate has been owned by the Slazenger family since 1961. It is renowned for its magnificent gardens and the highest waterfall in Ireland. In the early 90’s an 18 hole championship course within the 1000 acre estate was conceived. 

Both courses are spectacularly scenic, with the Irish Sea and the Sugarloaf Mountain providing the backdrop to undulating terrain blessed with mature trees, water features and a peaceful atmosphere.
